Size

Performance

If you need power, the Edge leaves the CR-V behind.  The Edge's standard turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine paired to a six-speed automatic transmission churns out up to 245 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque.  You can also opt for a 280-horsepower 3.5L Ti-VCT V6 for a bit more oomph.  Even if you upgrade to the CR-V's most powerful engine, you'll only get up to 190 horsepower and 179 pound-feet of torque.  

You can even kick it up a notch with the Edge and upgrade to the top-tier Sport trim which comes with sport-tuned suspension and standard Intelligent AWD for improved handling, larger 20-inch wheels, and a roaring turbocharged 2.7L EcoBoost V6 engine that can fire up an incredible 315 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque.

Towing

Both the Edge and the CR-V can tow up to 1,500 pounds, but if you need more strength without classing up to a much larger vehicle, the Edge has your back with the Class II Trailer Tow Package.  Available on the mid-tier SEL and Titanium trims, this package more than doubles the Edge's towing capacity to a stunning 3,500 pounds, giving you the ability to load up with your heavy gear and big toys.  Complete with trailer sway control, this package helps you safely manage your loads so you can drive confidently without leaving anything behind.

Safety and Technology
